Howard Smith Wharves
Hayley + David
Hayley and David’s wedding at Howard Smith Wharves was a truly magical and unforgettable event. As a photographer, there are few places that inspire creativity and a sense of wonder quite like Howard Smith Wharves. Against the stunning backdrop of the Brisbane skyscrapers and the city lights, the couple exchanged vows surrounded by their closest family and friends, and the whole venue seemed to bring out the best in everyone.
The romantic atmosphere was accentuated by the elegant decor and the soft glow of the lights, creating an ambiance of love and warmth that really stood out against the unique blend of industrial charm and natural beauty that Howard Smith Wharves offers.
One of the most memorable aspects of shooting at the location was the incredible photo opportunities that presented themselves at every turn. From the sweeping views of the river and the city skyline, to the beautiful gardens and intimate nooks and crannies of the venue, there was no shortage of stunning backdrops to work with.
But what really made this wedding special was the couple themselves. Their love and affection for each other was palpable, and capturing their joy and happiness was truly a privilege. We loved that they didn’t have a cookie cutter approach to their wedding, with their first look surrounded by the greenery at New Farm Park, and then holding their ceremony simultaneously with their reception. The gorgeous bride also opted out of the typical wedding gown and wore a glamorous dress that was reminiscent of the Roaring Twenties, and it stole the show once the wild dance floor celebrations begun.
As the evening progressed, guests were treated to delicious food, great music, and plenty of dancing. It was clear that every detail had been carefully thought out and executed, making the wedding a truly memorable occasion for everyone. Our team couldn’t help but feel grateful for the opportunity to capture such a beautiful celebration of love.
